KUCHING, Oct 18: Mahmud Epah has been named the new Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) chairman as the party steps up preparations for the 13th Sarawak Election (PRN13).
The appointment was announced by PKR secretary-general Dr Fuziah Salleh in a media statement today following a meeting between Sarawak PKR branch leaders and party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Oct 17.
The meeting agreed that the party’s main focus would be on election strategies and preparations ahead of the State polls, which are expected to be held soon.
“Meanwhile, Ahmad Nazib Johari will continue his role in strengthening ties between the party’s central leadership and Sabah and Sarawak, in line with PKR’s efforts to reinforce its political network in both regions,” it said.
The statement said the decisions were part of efforts to strengthen the party’s preparations for the upcoming election. — DayakDaily
