KUCHING, July 1: Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) will be implemented according to the federal government’s current financial capabilities, says Deputy Prime Minister Dato Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
According to him, Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim is committed in implementing the MA63 as soon as possible.
“The only question is the connection, the understanding, and the compatibility between Sabah, Sarawak, and the federal government,” said Zahid during the launching of a solar hybrid project at Punan Ba, Belaga today.
He said leadership compatibility must be strengthened and maintained so that the relationship could truly benefit Sabah and Sarawak.
On another note, he congratulated Sarawak for its timely progression on the Pan Borneo Highway project.
“Only two States (in Malaysia) have been given the privilege in building the Pan Borneo, with Sarawak doing very well in its progress,” he added. — DayakDaily
