KUCHING, Sept 19: Lundu District Police have denied claims circulating on social media alleging that a teenager was severely injured, with his leg severed, following a crocodile attack in Sematan.
Lundu District Police Chief Supt Sudirman Kram said no such incident had been reported to the police to date.
“Until now, no police report has been lodged by any party regarding the viral incident.
“The Lundu District Police Chief confirmed that no crocodile attack on humans has occurred in the district, thereby denying the authenticity of the viral news,” he said in a statement today.
He reminded the public to be responsible in sharing information online and to avoid spreading inaccurate or false news that could cause unnecessary alarm within the community. – DayakDaily
