BINTULU, Dec 1: A lorry driver was killed in an accident involving two lorries at Samalaju Industrial this morning.
Sarawak Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Superintendent Alexson Naga Chabu said the driver identified as Anggat Ukam, 33, was driving along Jalan Pesisir Bintulu-Miri when another lorry dashed out of the road junction.
The collision occurred at about 4.30am.
Anggat was pronounced dead at the scene by Bintulu hospital paramedics.
Meanwhile the other lorry driver was also taken to Bintulu hospital for treatment.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
