KUCHING, June 8: Some 60 longhouse residents at Long Selaan, Baram could only watch in anguish after their longhouse caught fire on Sunday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) team is now heading towards the fire scene from Marudi and approximately ten hours will be required to reach the longhouse.
According to a villager, no one had been reported to be injured so far during the fire which destroyed a total of 12 units at the longhouse and one hall.
Meanwhile Bomba firefighters are still on the way to the scene. -DayakDaily
