KUCHING, Sept 15: A four-door longhouse in Kampung Long Selulung, Marudi, was destroyed by a fire as it took firefighters more than eight hours to arrive due to the village’s remote location.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre today, the fire broke out around 8.35pm last night (Sept 14).

They received a call regarding the incident at 11.10pm and deployed Bomba Marudi to the location.
It was reported that the longhouse was destroyed in the incident, and there were no casualties. — DayakDaily
