Long lines at Plaza Merdeka as badminton enthusiasts meet top shuttler Tan Boon Heong

KUCHING, Sept 16: Some 100 badminton enthusiasts here got the chance to meet former World No 1 and Malaysian professional badminton player Tan Boon Heong today.

Held in Plaza Merdeka shopping mall in conjunction with the official launch of Aik Cheong’s Project CHNO Freeze Dried Coffee, Tan, who is the brand’s ambassador, also celebrated his birthday together with fans.

During the event, Tan also signed autographs and snapped photos with his fans during a meet and greet session, followed by a friendly badminton match.

Fans seen queuing to get their autographs from the former World No 1 in men’s doubles, Tan Boon Heong.

Project CHNO Freeze Dried Coffee is the latest product from Malaysian brand Aik Cheong Coffee.
