KUCHING, Jan 9: Lodge International School continues to excel academically, achieving outstanding results in the November 2024 Cambridge AS-Level exams, with 44 per cent of the cohort earning straight A’s and a near-perfect pass rate across all subjects.
These achievements underscore the school’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic education.
In a media release, Lodge International stated that students now look ahead to the June 2025 A-Level exams with renewed confidence, buoyed by their stellar AS-Level performance.
The school’s humanities department achieved remarkable results, with 100 per cent of students in History and English Language securing A grades.
In the sciences, Chemistry led the way with 72 per cent of students earning As, followed by 61 per cent in Physics and 57 per cent in Biology.
Further Mathematics, a challenging advanced subject, saw 67 per cent of students attaining As, while Mathematics students achieved an impressive 59 per cent A grade rate.
Social sciences also performed well, with 50 per cent of Psychology students earning As, along with 33 per cent in Economics and 25 per cent in Business.
Principal Markus Gatuman praised the students for their dedication and perseverance.
“We congratulate our students on their outstanding academic achievements. Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence are truly commendable, and we will continue to support them as they grow to reach new heights. We are proud to have them as part of our school community,” he said in a media release today.
Deputy Principal for A-Levels Grace Chung highlighted the students’ ability to balance academics with other commitments.
“Our students are exemplary in their hard work and discipline. Although they balance a busy schedule with extracurricular activities and student government, they are also completing the accelerated Cambridge A-Level programme. We are very proud of them, and our teachers are dedicated to providing a positive environment that helps students challenge themselves and push their limits,” she added.
