KUCHING, Feb 23: Local band Brookes is set to release its debut EP ‘modern antics’ on March 3.
According to a press release, the four-piece band, comprising Ezmir Sadriq on vocals/guitar, Denzel Martin on lead guitar, Tenchi on bass, and Jibby on drums, have been making waves in the local music scene with their unique blend of indie, pop, and occasional funk in their energetic live performances.
“To celebrate the release of their first album, Brookes in collaboration with DRT are hosting an EP launch event at Haus Kch (located in City Square, Pending) on March 3.
“The event will feature a full set by the band, as well as special guests Steff Fleur, DRT, Viceroyz, and nth,” the press release read.
The EP ‘modern antics’ is a collection of six tracks which showcases the Brookes’ unique sound and lyrical depth.
From upbeat anthems such as ‘S.O.S’ to introspective ballads with roaring guitar riffs such as ‘Swell’, the EP takes listeners on a journey through the band’s musical influences and personal experiences.
Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets may be purchased online through the band’s Instagram bio link.
“We’ve been working on this EP for a long time and we’re so excited to finally share it with the world,” said Ezmir, lead singer of Brookes.
“The launch event is going to be a night to remember and we can’t wait to see all our fans there to celebrate with us,” he added.
