KUCHING, Aug 29: A storeroom was razed by a fire caused by lightning strike at Jalan Stampin Timur here this afternoon.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) was contacted at 2.07 pm and a team was sent to the scene.

According to a statement from the State Bomba Operation centre, the fire destroyed 10 per cent of the storeroom.
Firefighters managed to put out the fire by using a water hose connected to the water tank.
A witness of the incident later told Bomba that the cause of the fire was due to a lightning strike.
The operation ended at 2.37 pm and the firefighters returned to the station. -DayakDaily
