KUCHING, Feb 21: The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) urges all taxpayers to check their travel restriction status before planning to go abroad.
LHDN, in a statement today, said travel restriction status is an action imposed by LHDN on individuals and company directors who failed to pay their Income Tax, Property Gains Tax (RPGT) and Company Tax.
“The notification of the action will be made to the last address updated by the taxpayer to LHDN through the latest tax data recorded,” it said.
According to the statement, taxpayers can check the status of tax arrears and travel restrictions through the MyTax portal at https://mytax.hasil.gov.my/.
“They can also check their travel restrictions status on the Malaysian Immigration Department website at https://sspi.imi.gov.my/sspi/,” it added.
