KUCHING, April 23: The Malaysian Rubber Board (LGM) has introduced the RRIMniaga app to facilitate transactions for rubber dealers and smallholders.

LGM in a press statement disclosed the RRIMniaga app will enable rubber traders or dealers to engage in transactions to buy and sell the commodity.

The board noted rubber dealers will not need to purchase receipt or record books to record down their transactions.

RRIMniaga offers users several advantages. For instance, it connects directly to the rubber production incentive (IPG) which keeps data for rubber farmers.

LGM explained that rubber smallholders need not go through the conventional method of applying for incentives as RRIMniaga records down the purchase transaction and automatically issues electronic receipts.

Rubber farmers will not need to go to its offices to apply for IPG as it will directly be banked into the account of applicants.

LGM disclosed that RRIMniaga has received good response although it is still in the trial stage. There are currently 304 rubber dealers who are using the RRIMniaga app to save time and cost, and improve efficiency.

Meanwhile, LGM also revealed the RRIMniaga app was invented to facilitate transactions between rubber buyers and licenced holders who are registered with the board.

The app is also intended to increase the efficiency of the local rubber supply chain as well as to facilitate licenced holders to engage in transactions more effectively.
