“Let’s go for gold!”: S’wak’s Miki Ghazali storms into Youth World Muaythai quarter-finals after defeating Saudi opponent

KUCHING, Sept 16: “I feel good, as if it was just a warm-up for me. Let’s go for gold!” These were the fighting words of Sarawak Muaythai athlete Miki Ghazali after overpowering Saudi Arabia’s Batal Alrashidi to advance into the quarter-finals of the IFMA Youth World Championships 2025.

From the opening bell, Miki exuded calm confidence, dictating the tempo and dominating the ring before sealing Malaysia’s place in tomorrow’s quarter-finals against Tunisia, TVS reported.

In a Facebook post shared by Muaythai Malaysia, Miki expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent the country, vowing to deliver Malaysia a gold medal in the prestigious international tournament.

Providing ringside support was national Muaythai athlete Jojo Ghazali, who lent advice and encouragement to the Malaysian contingent of fighters competing in the championships.

The IFMA Youth World Championships 2025, which showcases rising Muaythai talents from across the globe, runs until Sept 19 and is streamed live on IFMA’s official digital platforms. — DayakDaily
