Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera welcomes Haizad Rizal as new chief financial officer, bringing over 22 years of financial expertise

KUCHING, Aug 15: Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) has announced the appointment of Haizad Rizal as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective today.

According to a press release, Haizad brings over 22 years of distinguished experience in financial management and strategic leadership across various sectors to this role.

Before joining LTAT, Haizad served as the CFO at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Incorporated) (KWAP).

His previous roles include CFO at Sime Darby Oils and Group CFO at SME Bank Group from 2016 to 2024.

“Haizad’s impressive career began in Ireland, where he worked for a decade with renowned firms such as BDO Simpson Xavier, Daiwa Europe Fund Managers, and KPMG.

“He returned to Malaysia in 2009, taking on leadership roles including Head of Group Statutory and Management Reporting at RHB Bank Berhad, followed by Head of Finance at RHB Islamic Bank.

“He also served as Vice President at RHB Investment Bank Berhad before assuming the role of Group Chief Financial Officer at Johawaki Group of Companies in 2013,” the release stated.

Haizad is a fellow member (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University.

He also completed the Advanced Management and Leadership Programme at Said Business School, University of Oxford.

LTAT’s Chief Executive, Ashraf Radzi said: “We are pleased to welcome Haizad Rizal to LTAT. His appointment epitomises our unwavering commitment to judicious financial stewardship and good governance.

“Haizad’s extensive expertise will be instrumental in guiding LTAT towards continued growth and operational integrity.

“We have the utmost confidence that his leadership will further fortify our mission to uphold prudent financial management, in line with the Prime Minister’s (Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim) aspirations as articulated at the launch of the Guidelines on the Management and Governance of Federal Statutory Bodies earlier this month.”
