Transport Minister requests for installation of additional traffic light at Vista Perdana junction

MIRI, Jan 7: State Transport Minister Datuk Sri Lee Kim Shin is requesting for one more traffic light along the stretch from Vista Perdana junction to help ease traffic congestion during peak hours within the area.

“It is an additional request from my ministry under urban traffic management, as it is highly recommended to have one more traffic light along the stretch (nearby Vista Perdana main road),” said Lee on Friday after attending a briefing session with Public Works Department (JKR) Miri on the latest development and upgrading of Pujut Link Road to Airport Road.


The briefing was given by JKR Northern zone manager Ir Siaw Ming Chian.

He added that Naim Cendera, as the developer for the Permyjaya housing area, will decide the appropriate location for the installation (of the traffic light).

Meanwhile, on another updates, Lee disclosed that the construction of the flyover Permy Pujut Link Road are progressing well.

“Contrator targeting to finish ends of January,subject to the weather condition…as they doing the works at night also and once this flyover over completed, it will be a smooth traffic along the stretch,” Lee said.

Meanwhile, the construction of a flyover at the Airport side, the constractor is targeting to finish the work end of February. — DayakDaily
