KUCHING, May 10: Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin had a discussion with Katibas assemblyman Lidam Assan on a proposal for a bus station and riverine transportation facilities.
According to a statement issued today, Lee was on a working visit to Sibu, Song, and Kapit today.
While on his way to Kapit, he visited the Song bazaar to meet with Lidam, community leaders, shopkeepers, and other members of the local community.
The minister also visited the existing express boat terminal to look into a proposal by local community leaders to change its usage.
The terminal is no longer in use as there is no more express boat service following the completion of the road from Sibu to Kapit. — DayakDaily
