KUCHING, Dec 5: An additional 24 flood victims have been relocated to the temporary relocation centre in Trusan Community Hall in Lawas, as of 4pm today.
The State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) secretariat head, Major Ismail Mahedi from Sarawak Civil Defense Force said some flood victims were evacuated from their homes after the water level rose to 1-2 metres high.
“Additional flood victims are from five households in Kampung Perumahan Gelapis, Kampung Masjid Trusan, Kampung Luagan Keliling and Kampung Tengah Trusan,” he disclosed in a statement.
The 42 flood victims relocated to the temporary relocation centre in Trusan Community Hall comprises one infant, 23 children, 16 male and female adults, and 1 senior citizen. — DayakDaily
