Lavinia and Nur Hazirah add 1 gold, 1 silver to Sarawak’s Sukma XX medal tally

KUCHING, Sept 19: Sarawakian bowlers Lavinia Kho Jia Jie and Nur Hazirah Ramli added one gold and one silver to Sarawak’s medal tally in the women’s singles tenpin bowling event at the 20th Malaysia Games (Sukma) in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the 17-year old Lavinia felled 1,271 pins to claim first place during the opening event at Sunway Mega Lanes yesterday.

Nur Hazirah who trailed closely by only three pins, settled in second place after collecting 1,268 pin falls.

Third place was claimed by Nur Nais Falilnesa Isman from Selangor with 1,263 pin drops.

In the men’s singles action, Sabah took the podium with gold, while silver medal went to Pahang, and Penang settled for bronze. — DayakDaily
