Late-night blaze destroys apartment unit at Gardenia Court, Jalan Tabuan Dayak

KUCHING, Oct 29: A fire destroyed an apartment unit on the lower ground floor of Gardenia Court at Jalan Tabuan Dayak late last night (Oct 28).

Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Tabuan Jaya responded to the emergency at 11.05pm and swiftly mobilised a team of firefighters to the scene.

The blaze also destroyed all electrical appliances in the unit, while a neighbouring unit sustained 50 per cent smoke damage.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported.

Firefighters swiftly brought the fire under control, fully extinguishing it by 11.24pm. The operation concluded after they ensured the area was safe with no remaining sources of ignition. — DayakDaily
