KUCHING, March 19: One slow lane on the Pan Borneo Highway from Sibu towards Kuching will be temporarily closed for road maintenance works at KM368.9 to KM369.2, near the Sg Layar Bridge, starting from March 20 until the completion of the repairs.
According to the Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak, the closure is necessary to facilitate scheduled road upkeep along the Sri Aman-Sarikei route under the WPC05 section of the Pan Borneo Highway project.
Motorists are advised to drive cautiously through the affected area and comply with all traffic diversion signs and safety instructions provided at the site.
JKR Sarawak has urged road users to be vigilant while passing through the work zone and apologised for any inconvenience caused. — DayakDaily
