SERIAN, Feb 16: A landslide occurred at Bukit Parun Binong following continuous heavy rain since this evening.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre, the incident occured near the Kampung Pichin junction and firefighters were deployed from Serian Bomba to the location.
It was understood that the landslide covered most of the road and only motorcycles could pass through.
Local villagers also informed Bomba that they have requested for assistance from a local road maintainance company which happened to be doing their work nearby to clear the road.
Firefighters later installed a barrier fence at the location and will continue to monitor the situation. — DayakDaily
