KAPIT, Jan 17: A landslide, triggered by continuous overnight rain, landed onto the backyard of three houses at Taman Yong, Lorong Selirik here, early this morning.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak responded to an emergency at 5.55am and swiftly deployed a team of firefighters from Kapit Station to the location.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered that the landslide had came perilously close to crashing into the kitchens of the three houses.
In a swift response, firefighters installed barriers around the affected area to mitigate further risks.
Residents were urgently advised to steer clear of the landslide area and take necessary precautions given the ongoing risk of soil movement. — DayakDaily
