KUCHING, Sept 20: La Promenade Mall’s Oktoberfest will move to a new venue within the mall’s expanded precinct in 2026 as the annual event continues to gain momentum and grow in popularity.
The festival has built a reputation as one of Kuching’s most anticipated parties, anchored by a simple but winning formula of good food, fresh beer and great music.
According to Hock Seng Lee (HSL) marketing communications lead Abraham Tiong, the event has always aimed to be a community celebration with plenty for both friends and families.
“The vibes are great, and live music really adds to the festive atmosphere,” he said in a press release.

Mall leasing manager Angeline Ong said the festival will remain at its familiar outdoor grounds this year with temporary parking arranged behind the mall, but will debut at a new venue within the expansion area by next year.
She added that La Promenade will also continue to host its line-up of signature community events, including the Sarawak Open Bonsai & Suiseki Championship and the HSL Samarahan Marathon.
In addition, La Promenade Mall is staging its first-ever Property Expo 2025, offering promotions such as 25 per cent off furnishing packages for Jigsaw condos and discounts of up to RM18,000 on selected landed properties at La Promenade and Samariang Aman 3, with nightly giveaways also planned. — DayakDaily
