KUCHING, Aug 23: Kuching is set to play host to the Malaysian Medical Association’s (MMA) 64th annual general meeting (AGM) and the National MMA Convention & Scientific Congress 2024 from September 5 to 7.
According to a news report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the President-Elect of MMA, Dato Dr Kalwinder Singh Khaira, said the event will be held at Riverside Majestic Hotel.
“We have invited the Sarawak Premier to be the guest of honour at the congress. I will be taking over as the President of MMA during the AGM,” he said when met by reporters after a courtesy call to Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia today.
Dr Kalwinder said the congress is expected to be attended by around 300 to 400 doctors from throughout Malaysia.
Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian was also present during the courtesy call together with MMA Sarawak branch members. — DayakDaily
