Kuching registers triple digit Covid-19 cases as Sarawak logs 214 new cases today

KUCHING, Feb 11: Kuching registered triple digit Covid-19 cases today, contributing 105 cases of the 214 total cases in Sarawak.

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said there were 146 cases in Category 1, 65 cases in Category 2, two cases in Category 3 and one Category 5 case.

This brings the cumulative number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Sarawak to 253,840.

As Kuching reported the highest total at 105 cases, Miri came second with 42 and followed by Sibu with 33.

Other districts with new infections comprised Bintulu (9), Kapit (8), Kanowit (4), Song (2), Pusa (2) while Samarahan, Sarikei, Serian, Sri Aman, Julau, Tanjung Manis, Meradong, Subis and Asajaya recorded one case each.

There were no reports of any new Covid-19 clusters today as Sarawak has one active cluster, namely Kampung Semeba Cluster.

No Covid-19 deaths were disclosed in SDMC’s statement today. — DayakDaily
