Kuching police to follow up with officer who went viral for ‘looking sleepy’ while on duty

KUCHING, Feb 14: Kuching district police headquarters will look into the health condition of an officer who went viral for showing symptoms of fatigue and sleepiness while on duty.

Kuching district police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah said this following a 14-second video that went viral on Facebook yesterday.

The video, he said, depicted a traffic officer who looked sleepy while on duty.


“The Kuching district police headquarters has verified that the incident occurred on Feb 10 at Uplands roundabout here and involved the assignment of traffic congestion control.

“The headquarters would follow up with the officer’s health condition for further action. The police expressed appreciation to netizens who are concerned about the said officer,” he said in a statement today. — DayakDaily
