KUCHING, May 20: Kuching Hockien Association (KHA) is hoping to have the winning photos from the “Harmonious Sarawak” photography competition in conjunction with this year’s Seng Ong Kong deity’s birthday celebration hosted by Hong San Si Temple, exhibited in the museum.

According to KHA president Dato Richard Wee, his team will engage with the Sarawak Museum Department in due course, hoping to set up an exhibition dedicated to the winning photographs and promote the unique celebration and Sarawak’s multiracial harmony and cultural heritage.

“I hope that all these photographs will find their way that maybe we can work with the Sarawak Museum Department to secure a space for an exhibition,” he said when officiating an awards ceremony for the ‘Harmonious Sarawak’ photography competition held at Barong Tinuk Restaurant in Jalan Merdeka here today.

Wee speaks at an awards ceremony for ‘Harmonious Sarawak’ Photography Competition held at Jalan Merdeka, Kuching on May 20, 2023.

Additionally, he invited the Persatuan Seni Foto Quebah Clicks (QBC) Kuching to organise the next photography competition for Seng Ong Kong deity’s birthday celebration together.
