KUCHING, Sept 22: More than 5,000 fans erupted in celebration at the Sarawak Stadium on Sunday (Sept 21) as Kuching City FC secured their first home win of the season, beating Selangor FC 1–0 in the Malaysia Super League.
According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Selangor missed an early penalty before Kuching City faced an injury setback and a booking shortly before half-time, with the score remaining goalless at the break.
In the second half, Kuching City also failed to score on a penalty, but the decisive moment came in the 67th minute when Ramadhan Saifullah scored the only goal of the match.
