KUCHING, Sept 4: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin today handed over the Kampung Sungai Tapang Community Hall to the village’s security and development committee (JKKK) following the completion of the hall’s upgrading and repair works.
The handing over was held during a simple ceremony at Kampung Sungai Tapang today.
The upgrading and repair works were undertaken by Syarikat Pembinaan Sampun Maju, costing RM100,000, which is funded by Yap’s Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) funds for the N12 Kota Sentosa constituency.
Following the handing over ceremony, Yap also witnessed the handing over of a Letter of Award and site possession of another RTP project worth RM150,000 for the upgrading works of Kampung Stutong Melayu Community Hall.
The scope of the project involves raising the floor slab, installing new wall cladding, building half brick walls, installing new sliding doors and windows, painting, and electrical works.
The upgrading work is scheduled for 24 weeks and should be completed by February 5, 2024. — DayakDaily
