“During the simple handover ceremony, YB Wilfred Yap requested that the committee provide him with a simple report on how the funding was used, and he pledged to use his annual MRP allocation to assist all Muslim and non-Muslim religious bodies in his constituency based on their needs and requirements,” the press release stated.

In the press release, Yap further highlighted the significance of religious harmony, describing it as a cornerstone for tolerance, mutual respect, and cooperation among the diverse religious and racial communities in Kota Sentosa.

“When people come together, they can learn from one another and develop a deeper understanding of diversity, leading to a more inclusive and equitable society, which is essential for building a better future through the continuous ‘inclusive’ progress and development of Sarawak under Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030,” the Kota Sentosa assemblyman was quoted as saying. — DayakDaily
