Founded in December 1994, BEM Olive Garden has grown into a vibrant place of worship and fellowship, serving the congregation’s spiritual needs while also strengthening community bonds in Kota Sentosa.

Reaffirming his commitment to assist all religious institutions and community organisations in his constituency, Yap stressed that such support contributes to unity, harmony and social development.

“Our government under Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is committed to ensuring that all communities in Sarawak can practise their faith freely and with dignity.

“Supporting places of worship such as BEM Olive Garden is part of our shared vision to build a stronger, united and progressive Sarawak,” he said.

Yap also conveyed his appreciation to UNIFOR for playing a crucial role in providing financial support to non-Islamic religious organisations across Sarawak, which has helped improve facilities and ease the burden on congregations.

The visit concluded with a fellowship session with church leaders and members, where Yap reiterated his open-door policy to listen to and assist the people of Kota Sentosa in addressing their needs and aspirations. — DayakDaily
