Kota Sentosa rep meets police to discuss traffic congestion at 7th Mile, cable theft

KUCHING, March 21: Traffic congestion at 7th Mile, electricity and telephone cable theft were among matters raise by Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin during a courtesy visit to Kota Sentosa Police Station recently.

According to Yap in a statement today, he also requested officer-in-charge of Kota Sentosa Police Station ASP Mohd Roslan Mat Salleh, to increase the frequency of police patrols in the 7th Mile area.


“This includes community policing with the People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA) and issues involving the mentally deranged persons who often seen roaming around the 7th Mile area which occasionally disrupts business there,” he said.

Meanwhile, during the visit, Yap also handed over kurma packets for Muslim police officers in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.

He also expressed his appreciation for the selfless sacrifice and dedication of all the police personnel to keep law and order with integrity in his constituency.

“The contributions and sacrifices of the police should be remembered by the public especially considering their willingness to serve the local communities.

“Their dedication and hard work have not gone unnoticed, and their commitment to serving others regardless of race or religion is truly commendable,” he said. — DayakDaily
