KUCHING, April 18: The Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) Sarawak must ensure that owners of commercial vehicles have a proper designated spot to park their vehicles, said Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap.
According to Yap, before permits or licences are issued, the commercial vehicles must be parked in designated areas when not in use.
“I hope that LPKP Sarawak chairman Michael Kong Feng Nian will ensure that LPKP shall enforce and perform their duties and responsibility in an accountable and transparent manner,” he said in a statement issued today via the ‘Supp Kota Sentosa’ Facebook page.
Yap, along with Kapitan Chai Yong Liang, Kuching South City Council (MBKS) councillor Andy Kiing, and members of the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Kampung Stampin Baru Cina, recently visited the road construction project at the southern part of the Kuching International Airport (KIA) here.
The site visit was conducted in response to complaints about two illegally parked commercial vehicle trailers. — DayakDaily
