KUCHING, May 31: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap today handed over Letters of Award to contractors for three Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects aimed at upgrading recreational parks in the constituency.
The projects, valued at a total of RM295,000 from Yap’s RTP allocation for 2025, were unveiled during a site visit with officers from the Kuching South City Council (MBKS), the implementing agency.
The upgrading works will cover Taman Rekreasi Stampin Lorong D8A (RM200,000), Taman Rekreasi Borneo Garden Phase 2 (RM50,000) and Taman Rekreasi Stampin 12 Phase 2 (RM45,000).

“These projects reflect my commitment to listen to the people and act on their development needs.
“By upgrading our recreational parks, we are investing in healthier lifestyles and creating inclusive spaces for families and individuals to enjoy,” he said in a press release today.

He also expressed gratitude to MBKS for their role in implementing the projects, and to the appointed contractors for their readiness to commence work promptly and complete it on schedule.
Yap stressed that community input will continue to shape his priorities, especially in delivering projects that improve the quality of life for Kota Sentosa residents. — DayakDaily
