KUCHING, Nov 8: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap has allocated RM150,000 for the construction of a futsal court in Stampin Resettlement Scheme and the upgrading of children playground and facilities at Taman Everglades Recreation Park, Stutong Baru.
Today, he attended two simple handing over ceremonies for the official handing over of site and letter of awards for two Sarawak Government Rural Transformation Project (RTP) by Kuching South City Council (MBKS), the appointed implementing and supervising government agency.
“The two projects are for the construction of a futsal court at Lorong 2, Stampin Resettlement Scheme costing RM100,000 which is expected to be completed by Keris Damai Sdn Bhd by February 2025.
“The other RTP costing RM50,000 is for the upgrading of children playground and facilities at Taman Everglades Recreation Park, Stutong Baru and is scheduled for completion by Supersonic Construction by March 2025,” he said in a statement.
Yap added that the two people-centric RTP projects were implemented after numerous requests were made to him by residents living in the area during Yap’s frequent visits with community leaders.
During the presentation ceremony, Yap requested the contractors to carry out the works diligently in accordance with the scope of works and bill of quantities and MBKS officers to diligently monitor and supervise the contractors from start to completion with good quality finishing. — DayakDaily
