Kota Sentosa gets RM640,000 for drainage, road upgrades

KUCHING, Dec 9: Three projects within the Kota Sentosa constituency have received a total allocation of RM640,000 under the Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) for drainage and road upgrading works, to be implemented by the Padawan Municipal Council (MPP).

Its assemblyman, Wilfred Yap, handed over the Letter of Award for three projects during a ceremony which took place on Monday (Dec 8).

The three projects are the following:

  • Upgrading of drainage at Lorong Sungai Tapang 9 with Syarikat Salur Berkat as the contractor (RM100,000)
  • Upgrading of drainage at Lorong Sungai Tapang 4 with Eastline Synergy Resources as the contractor (RM500,000)
  • Road upgrading works at Kampung Temedak with Faes Enterprise as the contractor (RM40,000)

The project at Lorong Sungai Tapang 9 is expected to improve water flow while reducing overflow risks for surrounding residents, while the project at Lorong Sungai Tapang 4 will help solve long-standing flooding issues.

Meanwhile, the road upgrading works at Kampung Temedak aim to enhance road safety and accessibility for villagers. — DayakDaily
