KUCHING, Nov 18: The Kota Sentosa Christmas Parade 3.0 returns this year to celebrate the festive season with joy and unity, taking place on Nov 29 at Dewan Perniagaan Batu 7.
Sarawak Evangelical Christian Association (SECA) chairman Reverend Greman Ujang said the annual parade is organised together with the Association of Churches Sarawak (ACS), featuring 18 participating churches and expecting more than 2,000 participants.
“This year’s theme reminds us that amidst darkness and challenges, Jesus continues to be the Light that guides, restores and unites us together as the body of Christ.
“We invite all Christians and the community to join this joyful celebration and let us shine together for Christ,” he said to the media at a press conference held at the Christ Baptist Church in Kota Sentosa today.
The celebration will include a festive parade, carols, and praise and worship, while organisers hope to share the message of love, peace, and unity found in the birth of Christ.
Greman, who is also the organising chairman of the Christmas Parade 2025, said the celebration is scheduled to start at 6pm with a Christmas service followed by the parade at 7.45pm, taking a 1.5km route through the Kota Sentosa commercial area.
Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap will also attend as the guest of honour, together with other community leaders.
The public is encouraged to join the parade as the community comes together to shine the light of Christ in Kota Sentosa.
More than 18 churches will also take part, including Christ Baptist Church, BEM Olive Garden, First Baptist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, New Generation Church, Gereja Injil Sepenuh, Excel Point Baptist Church, Calvary Family Church, Sacred Heart Kota Sentosa, Grace Levites Sanctuary, BEM Kota Padawan, Assemblies of God Church, Phaneroo Malaysia, Sarawak Grace Church, Apostolic Worship Centre, Calvary Family Church Giam, 611 Church and Gereja Bethany Kuching. — DayakDaily
