Kota Sentosa assemblyman presents RM780,000 UNIFOR allocation to SK St Alban Sg Tapang for major upgrades

KUCHING, Dec 11: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap Yau Sin today presented two Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) cheques amounting to RM780,000 to SK St Alban (M) Sungai Tapang to fund extensive upgrading works at the school.

The allocations comprise RM400,000 for the upgrading of Block B, the pre-school building, and the school’s open hall/covered court; and RM380,000 for improvements to the school library, parking area, and classroom block.

Yap said the Sarawak government’s continued support through UNIFOR demonstrates its strong commitment to ensuring safe, comfortable and conducive learning environments for students in Kota Sentosa.

He also conveyed his appreciation to the school management and the Anglican Church for their close cooperation, which he said was essential in ensuring smooth implementation of the planned projects for the benefit of students and the wider community.

“Education development is the foundation for community progress. We want every child in Kota Sentosa to have the best possible environment to learn and grow,” he said during the ceremony.
