Kota Samarahan entering ‘golden age’ thanks to future projects

Dato Peter Minos

KUCHING, Dec 12: Kota Samarahan is entering its ‘golden age’ with big projects coming up, says Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) chairman Dato Peter Minos.

He said projects such as the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) system, Sarawak Cancer Centre, Centre for Infectious Diseases, and Arden City by Ibraco will surely steer Kota Samarahan into a ‘golden age’.

In a statement issued today, he related how he was invited to officiate a goldsmith’s shop in Kota Samarahan, and how it struck him that the town was also prospering akin to it.

“Indeed, it was a goldsmith shop selling gold imported from Europe. Two friends started it because they said gold is the best investment with its ever-increasing prices.

“Looks like Kota Samarahan is indeed entering a ‘golden age’ with big upcoming projects,” he said.

He added that even Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang, who attended the event, commented that Kota Samarahan is ‘seeing gold’ in all its projects. — DayakDaily
