KKB donates RM2 mln to 10 charitable organisations in Sarawak

KUCHING, Sept 24: KKB Engineering Berhad hasdonated RM2 million to 10 charitable organisations in Sarawak.

Its founder and chairman Dato Sri Kho Kak Beng said the donation is part of KKB’s commitment to help the community and society.

“What we take from society, we must give back to society,” he said during KKB Engineering Berhad’s 60th anniversary celebration dinner held at a local hotel here yesterday.


Kho noted KKB Group will continue to contribute to Sarawak’s economic progress, including nation building.

He said with KKB’s background and track record, the group will continue to support the development of Sarawak, especially in infrastructure, water, gas, energy and all steel related businesses.

He pointed out that KKB Group’s business in engineering, construction including manufacturing has also expanded into oil and gas.

“Since 1962, KKB group has given employment to more than 1,000 staffs who have been serving for more than 30 years.

“As a local Sarawakian, I am proud that KKB has contributed to the development of Sarawak for over 60 years,” he added.

Meanwhile, KKB Group executive director Kho Pok Tong said KKB will continue and strive to stay relevant in the industry.

“The Group will adopt the latest technology and seek cooperation to leap forward into the future.

“We hope to grow further in tandem with our State’s sustainable green developments in the many years to come,” he said. — DayakDaily
