KUCHING, Oct 19: A 37-year-old woman injured her leg after the kitchen section of her house collapsed at Kampung Pulo Hilir here early this morning.
According to a report from the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), the Petra Jaya fire station received a distress call regarding the incident at 3.35am, and a team of firefighters was immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the team found that the kitchen of the house had collapsed, with its cement floor giving way. The woman was trapped at the scene after her leg became pinned between concrete debris.
After extricating the victim, she was administered treatment by ambulance personnel at the scene before being taken to the hospital for further medical attention.
The operation concluded at 3.55am. — DayakDaily
