KUCHING, Sept 9: His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, King of Malaysia and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia have expressed their condolences to the families of the pilot and Ministry of Health personnel who died in the helicopter crash near Long Lellang.
According to a statement posted on His Majesty’s official Facebook page today, Their Majesties prayed that the bereaved families and next-of-kin would be granted strength and fortitude in facing their loss.
“Al-Fatihah and my condolences to all the victims’ family members. Their service and sacrifice will always be remembered,” Sultan Ibrahim said.
The tragedy involved a Flying Doctor Service helicopter carrying a pilot, a medical officer, an assistant medical officer, and two nurses that crashed near Long Lellang STOLport yesterday afternoon (Sept 8). — DayakDaily
