KUCHING, March 21: Villagers of Sg Meka-Sare in Sarikei have killed the crocodile that attacked a man at the area on Friday.
Villagers managed to catch and shoot the 4.5m-long crocodile at around 8.50pm yesterday, before it was brought to shore for inspection by the police.
Authorities opened up the dead crocodile today and found body parts and organs believed to be of the victim.
Yesterday, search and rescue personnel found human body parts believed to belong to the victim floating along the river.
Following the killing of the crocodile, the Fire and Rescue Department suspended the search and rescue operation around 11am. — DayakDaily
