KUCHING, Jan 23: Construction works for a viaduct at the Kenyalang Roundabout in Kuching will commence tomorrow (Jan 24), and are scheduled to continue for 12 months until Dec 31, 2026, according to a notification issued by Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro).
The works, which will be carried out 24 hours daily, involve viaduct construction at the Kenyalang Roundabout (Pelita Heights) area.
In the notification, Sarawak Metro advised road users to exercise caution when travelling through the affected area and to strictly adhere to all traffic management control measures, including road warning signs and speed limits, to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.
The company said it will notify the public should there be any changes to the construction works or traffic arrangements related to the project.
Motorists are also advised to plan their journeys accordingly to minimise inconvenience during the construction period.
