He said that Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan also assisted the community in Lawas, Limbang, Miri, and Sibuti and brought development to their villages.

“We will continue to support Abang Johari, Awang Tengah, and the GPS government that have brought tremendous development for the Kedayan,” Mohamad Abdullah said, urging the community not to be easily influenced by the Opposition.

“What can the Opposition do to help our community? They do nothing but try to split the people to champion their cause, which at the end of the day, is nothing as we can see from the previous election.

“The Opposition merely talk and give empty promises, and there is no guarantee that the Kedayan will get this type of respect from any government except GPS,” he said.

Calling on the Kedayan community in Lawas and Limbang, he urged them to give their undivided support to Awang Tengah who is GPS candidate for Bukit Sari and Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail who is candidate for Bukit Kota in Limbang.

He stressed that Awang Tengah had brought much development in Lawas, and the community benefited from it together.

“Our community must be thankful and continue to support him and reject the Opposition candidates there who are harping on racial sentiments,” said Mohamad Abdullah.

In Limbang, he pointed out that Dr Abdul Rahman also brought much development, including to many villages of the Kedayan.

At the same time, he also said that Bekenu incumbent Datuk Rosey Yunus, also Women, Family, and Childhood Development Assistant Minister and Lambir incumbent Ripin Lamat have shown that the government of the day is serious in helping the community.

“I dare say, no government of the Opposition will ever give us the political and socio-economic power now afforded to us by the GPS government,” he said.

To voters in Lawas, Limbang, Miri, Bekenu, and Lambir, Mohamad Abdullah told them to look closely at what is happening around them to appreciate what the government has done to raise their standard of living.
