Kampung Long Jegan A residents in Miri receive RM200,000 assistance to rebuild longhouse

KUCHING, April 11: Kampung Long Jegan A residents in Miri received assistance worth RM200,000 to purchase materials to rebuild their longhouse.

According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) today, the assistance was contributed by Public Health, Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister I Datu Dr Penguang Manggil.

The assistance, which was handed over on Sunday (April 10), was to help residents rebuild their 31-door longhouse razed by fire in 2014.

Among the materials donated were spandex roofing, plywood, and nails. ― DayakDaily
