Just another day at work for a female firefighter who catches a cobra

LUNDU, May 3: Firefighter Dian Arbaniah Mohamad bravely caught a 3m long cobra with her colleagues inside a house at Kampung Bajo, here this morning.

The cobra was first discovered by the owner of the house, before contacting Lundu Fire and Rescue Department at 8.07am.

A team of firefighters was dispatched to the scene located some 8km away.

“The slithery reptile was found inside the bathroom. Although it was not aggressive, the cobra is one of the dangerous species and therefore we have to be very careful,” Dian said when contacted.

It took about 10 minutes for the operation to end.

After capturing the snake, it was taken away by the firefighters and later released into the jungle. — DayakDaily
