KUCHING, Sept 25: The junction leading to Siniawan Night Market will be temporarily closed from 7am on Sept 27 in conjunction with the launching ceremony of Siniawan Waterfront.
Bau District Police Chief DSP Mohd Haide A. Rahman said the road will reopen in stages after the event concludes.
The closure is to facilitate the Siniawan Waterfront launch, which is expected to be officiated by Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
This year’s celebrations will be on a grand scale, coinciding with the 8th edition of the Siniawan Country Music Festival 2025, Siniawan’s 185th anniversary, and the Night Market’s 15th anniversary.
Mohd Haide urged the public not to park along the road shoulders and to cooperate fully to ensure smooth traffic flow, advising commuters to use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
