Julau MP: Put aside political differences, release funds to MPs whose areas are affected by floods

KUCHING, March 2: Julau MP Datuk Larry Sng has called on Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to set aside political differences and release funds to MPs whose constituencies have been affected by the recent floods.

Sng made the call following serious flooding in Julau town and other parts of Julau district.

Physically connectivity in many parts of Julau district have been cut off by floodwaters.

In a statement today, he expressed hope that Anwar will release the balance of funds that were previously allocated to MPs so that MPs of constituencies affected by floods may assist victims.


“Consistency development funds should also be given to Opposition MPs, so that all Malaysians receive assistance during this difficult period

“We should not play politics when it is a matter of life and death for those who are badly impacted by the floods or the rising cost of living,” said Sng. — DayakDaily
