KUCHING, Oct 25: Julau MP Larry Sng Wei Shien has been appointed as the new chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC).
He replaces former Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Osman Sapian who was appointed to the post in May 2020.
MPOC posted a congratulatory message on its Facebook page yesterday on Sng’s appointment.
The council revealed that Sng’s appointment as MPOC chairman is effective Oct 1.
Meanwhile, Sng left Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) in February this year and became an independent MP friendly to the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government. — DayakDaily
